Works out Perfectly
It can hurt how good things can be.
Jumps up on you, smacking you down.
The sudden gripping awareness
That what you thought was sweet
Was just a hint.
The opposite can fill your time as well
Your problems and your pain
Can become a soothing little note
Familiar and constant in the background
Never far from reach.
All the wanting and all the wishing
The time spent worrying or hiding
None of it alters or saves you from the moment
That you have to live in
That you have to live.

Hard to believe, but in Feb 1958, I was on a RN ship HMS Ceylon Doing exercises with RCN light fleet A/C Carrier in the Atlantic.
HMCS 'Bonaventure'
Going ashore in Halifax the cab I was travelling in got hit by a lump of solid snow falling from the bridge, not funny.
Anyhow better than having a 'Rock On' the cab.
Yes... The good can also hurt, turn everything on its head.
Another gorgeous piece (with stunning accompanying shots)...
I know a bosn who sailed on the Bonny. His nickname was Bonny,so he was the Bonny on the Bonny! hahah. And, a lump of snow is far better than the Rock!
Ms Minx! Thank you! You hit the idea on the head.
Rock on!
"none of it alters or saves you from the moment. " That line really hits home. Great work.
"familiar and constant"...is how your are to me
IT is nice to be back, and to write (even if rarely), and to be able to share and feel with you interesting and flowing people.
Rock on!
