Get ready to Roll

“Gather near, brave heroes, for we begin the next chapter of our tale. Let adventure’s call guide you, past the dangers and fears, to glory and victory…”
I mean, yeah, a sleepy DM makes for interesting gaming.
Excited!

And an unprepared DM makes for a dead party :-D

My party always knows when I did not get an adventure ready in time, usually they signal me with, "what do you mean we're fighting a manticore?!? We're second level!"

being involved in resolving marital disputes before divorce is pronounced, and so begin to devise how to curtail this wanton disregard of God’s command to us? “Why do women get thrown out of their homes the same day they are divorced, with custody, maintenance for her children and even the lump sum compensation upon divorce as decreed in the Qur’an denied them? Is protecting the family unit not central to our faith? Where are the mechanisms to enforce her God-ordained rights in this predominantly Muslim community? Indeed, why is there no family code enacted as law by the Kano State House of Assembly, to ensure access to justice, consistency in application and awareness of the laws? “Again, why is education not a priority, when ‘Iqra’ (read) was the first command to our Prophet (SAW) when the Qur’an was revealed to him? Indeed, our Prophet (SAW) is known to have stated that Muslims should go as far as China to seek knowledge, so why do we now try to constrain the scope of learning, and restrict our children—especially our girls—on the type of education to legitimately pursue,” Hajia Maryam continued to rattle her guests this late morning. She frowned at girls early marriage as well as those instruments that discourage women from earning a decent living, even where many of their husbands fail to provide for them and their children. She said all these happen even when many know about how Khadija, wife of the Prophet, who was a successful business woman in her own time? “Can we not see that keeping half of our productive workforce redundant is responsible for the poverty and stunted growth in our communities? Why are we selective on the hadith we highlight, and in so doing discourage women from aspiring for leadership positions, when Bilqis in the Qur’an is praised as a just and able Ruler?

Darius - Haha! I hear you! Too many times, after the hours have worn down what seemed at the start an unlimited tank of imagination and enthusiasm, you find such strange and DM-wise shameful things coming out of your mouth.
“Ok, so, um, the door opens, and, like, …twelve Imperial Stormtroopers burst into the room, blasters firing. Your elf has to make a save vs. Laser Death…yeah..”

Gray - Heehee. We;;, the Ladies do tend to giggle…

N Man - You can download the main books, and, if you can’t get dice I’d send you some! You have such a productive imagination, and tell stories so well and full of descriptions which flash into images in the mind of the reader! You would be excellent at it! Haha! (always trying to spread the disease).

Jimmy - Ah, my old blog buddy. Oldest, actually. We again near the end of one and start of another year.
And how better, than you to be reading a few bits of that strange yet powerfully true wisdom you have locked away in your mind. It is always thought on.

Rock on!
